Minnesota Twins Tickets

When the American League expanded in 1961, Calvin Griffith seized the opportunity to move his Washington Senators to what he hoped would be a better region. Minnesota became the home for the renamed the Minnesota Twins  renamed for Minneapolis-St. Paul, the Twin Cities.

With Tony Oliva and, later, Rod Carew joining the likes of Harmon Killebrew and Bob Allison, the Twins won their first AL pennant in 1965 and won consecutive division titles in 1969-70.

In 1991, The Twins won the West Division by eight games and defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in the playoffs to advance to the World Series against the Atlanta Braves, another team that had finished last the previous year. It was one of the most memorable World Series ever, with three games—including the final two—being decided in extra innings.
The biggest story of the 2004 season was the emergence of lefthander Johan Santana, who was unbeatable over the final half of the season.

The Twins are affectionately known among their fans as the "Twinkies." They have a reputation of being a hard-working, hard-playing club. The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome opened on April 3, 1982,  has been home to the Minnesota Twins for the past 20 years.
