- The
Cardinals
were founded in 1898 and were founder members of the NFL.
The team boasts a colorful history and has been known as the
Morgan Athletic Club, the Normals, Racine Cardinals, Chicago
Cardinals, St. Louis Cardinals, Phoenix Cardinals and
finally the
Arizona Cardinals.
Under the league’s realignment plan, which
took affect in 2002, the Cardinals
moved into the West Division of
the NFC. Formerly based in Chicago, Illinois, and St. Louis,
Missouri, the Cardinals now play at Sun Devil Stadium in
Tempe, Arizona.

Despite their long history, the
Arizona Cardinals have won just two NFL championships
and have never reached a Super Bowl in the modern era.
Meanwhile, coach Denny Green and the
Cardinal brass are assembling a group that may be the surprise
of 2006. Namely, the
Arizona
Cardinals
nabbed via free agency All-Pro running back, Edgerrin James.
Matt Leinart, college football's poster boy, Deuce Lutui, and
monster tight-end, Leonard Pope were all acquired through the
2006 NFL Draft.
There is a new
found optimism and excitement in the Desert....new marquee & impact
players as wells a state-of-the art Stadium in Glendale. Reserve your
Arizona Cardinals tickets,
and experience the fabulous new Cardinal Stadium!
