The Denver Broncos
have been one of pro football's biggest winners since the merger
of the American and National Football Leagues in 1970.
Since their formation in 1960, the Broncos have
played in six Super Bowls. Denver’s first appearance came in
1978 when they lost to the Cowboys. Under the guidance of star
quarterback John Elway and head coach
Mike Shanahan, Denver
Broncos
reached the pinnacle of the pro football world, as the team
captured its first world championship with a victory over the
Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII. With a victory over
the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII,
Denver
Broncos
accomplished what only five other teams have achieved —
back-to-back Super Bowl championships. |
