For
nearly 40 years the
Colts
called Baltimore home. During that time, with players
such as Johnny Unitas and coaches such as Don Shula, the Colts
enjoyed great success and popularity.
The Colts moved out of the city in the
middle of the night in March 1984, and began playing in
Indianapolis. While the Colts won the 1971 Super Bowl while in
Baltimore, they have failed to reach the big game since moving
to Indianapolis. Semi-final defeats to Pittsburgh in 1995 and
New England last year are the closest the Colts have come to
returning to the Super Bowl. |
