In 1933 Art Rooney purchased an NFL
franchise that became known as the
Pittsburgh
Steelers for $2,500. Over the next eight decades,
the Pittsburgh Steelers have become the a beloved part
of the city. Throughout the 1970's, the Pittsburgh Steelers built a
dynasty and with the "Steel Curtain" brought four Super
Bowl titles to Pittsburgh.
