The
St. Louis Rams NFL franchise has a
rich and illustrative history. The franchise originated
in Cleveland in 1936 as a member of the then American
Football League joining the NFL the following year.

- The St. Louis Rams have a long list of
famous firsts in the NFL; they were the first
professional team to move west of the Mississippi; they were the first to use helmet
insignias or decals; they were the first franchise to
return east moving to St Louis, Mo (Edward Jones Dome)in 1995.

In 2004, the
St Louis Rams
were
ready to regain their championship swagger. Led by QB
Mark Bulger, All-Pros, running back Marshall Faulk, and
wide-out Torry Holt, the Rams had an explosive offense
that lit up the Edward Jones Dome.
In January 2005, after finishing the regular
season 8-8, the St. Louis
Rams became the first team in NFL history without a
winning record in the regular season to win a
playoff game.
